Doctors have not been able to find the cause of IIH. Some of them speculate that possibly a sudden weight gain may cause the disease. I have a question. Is it the sudden weight gain that causes IIH, or is it the fluid retention in the body caused by IIH that causes the sudden weight gain?
As soon as I had the 2 spinal taps and began on a regimen of Diamox for a month my weight began to decrease. My pant size has decreased over a size in less than a week since I have been out of the hospital (eating what I normally eat).
The edema in my legs and ankles that has been there most of the month (and that my GP could not find a cause for even though he had dozens of tests done), is dissipating, even if I sit for long periods of time(which I do at my job).
I have more energy. I can walk up the 2 flights of stairs to my apartment without huffing and puffing and having HUGE tension in behind my eyes. This happened the first time I had IIH too. Curious. Very curious. I have a feeling that they may be concentrating on the effects thinking that it is the cause.hmmmm....thoughts?

uhh docs often treate effects i mean cough drops they chill the cough the congestion an (in my mind are crazy on amounts on menthol) that they say they look sdfor a cause but do they really? some causes they think they know
hmm were there anythings in eighter case that it occured that coulda made you tense/nervous/worryied or the like? i think you know my thinkin well enough bout now
