What am I, whom am I, what doth I be? For some, if not all be true. Think carefully, and with love in thy hearts discern thee! You be me and I be you.

In a way, I am Christian, but only in the true (to me) sense of the word. To me Christian means to aspire to be Christ - like. Not to die on a cross for the sins of others, but to live a life filled with love for others and in service to God/dess, to teach people, through example, that love is the only way, that love and enlightenment are our very nature.

I believe in the Golden Rule: All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7:12

"And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." Luke 6:31

"...and don't do what you hate...", Gospel of Thomas 6. The Gospel of Thomas is one of about 40 gospels that were widely accepted among early Christians, but which never made it into the Christian Scriptures (New Testament).

"Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." Matthew 13:9

For these reasons, and many more, I must be Christian.

However, in a way, I am pagan, for I believe that we are a part of Mother Earth, or Gaia, and that when we treat her badly we are really treating ourselves that way, as we do when we treat our brothers and sisters, friends and family that way.

Could I belong to a Roman Pagan Religion whose beliefs surround a common thought that: "The law imprinted on the hearts of all men is to love the members of society as themselves."

In a way, I must be Wiccan, for I believe in the Wiccan Rede: "Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, an it harm none, do as thou will." (i.e. do what ever you will, as long as it harms nobody, including yourself). One's will is to be carefully thought out in advance of action. I also believe that whatever you do to others comes back threefold.

In a way, I am sure to be Buddhist, for I believe: "Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful." Udana-Varga 5:18

"...a state that is not pleasing or delightful to me, how could I inflict that upon another?" Samyutta NIkaya v. 353,

I must aspire to be somewhat like Confuscious as well, for I resonate with the meanings of the statements: Do not do to others what you would not like yourself.

Then there will be no resentment against you, either in the family or in the state.
Analects 12:2

"Tse-kung asked, 'Is there one word that can serve as a principle of conduct for life?' Confucius replied, 'It is the word 'shu' -- reciprocity. Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.'" Doctrine of the Mean 13.3

and:

"Try your best to treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself, and you will find that this is the shortest way to benevolence." Mencius VII.A.4

In a way, I am Hindu as my thoughts wander to the words: This is the sum of duty; do naught onto others what you would not have them do unto you.

Some say my beliefs sway towards Islamic, as I believe that: No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.

and:

"None of you [truly] believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself." Number 13 of Imam "Al-Nawawi's Forty Hadiths." 5

In a way, I am Judaic, following the words: "What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man. This is the law: all the rest is commentary." Talmud, Shabbat 31a.

"...thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.", Leviticus 19:18

as well as:

"And what you hate, do not do to any one." Tobit 4:15 6

In a way, I follow Taoism, for believe this I do. One must: "Regard your neighbor’s gain as your gain, and your neighbor’s loss as your own loss."

A supporter of Zoroastrianism I must be, in a way, for: That nature alone is good which refrains from doing another whatsoever is not good for itself.

So does: "Whatever is disagreeable to yourself do not do unto others." Shayast-na-Shayast 13:29

I may be Unitarian, somewhat, for I believe in: "The inherent worth and dignity of every person;" , "Justice, equity and compassion in human relations.... "

"The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;", and that: "We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part." Unitarian principles. 7,8

Be I of the Bahá'í Faith? For I believe in the words: "Ascribe not to any soul that which thou wouldst not have ascribed to thee, and say not that which thou doest not." "Blessed is he who preferreth his brother before himself." Baha'u'llah

and:

"And if thine eyes be turned towards justice, choose thou for thy neighbour that which thou choosest for thyself." Epistle to the Son of the Wolf

How about Brahmanism? For the words may be different, but the vibration is the same: "This is the sum of Dharma [duty]: Do naught unto others which would cause you pain if done to you". Mahabharata, 5:1517

I could be a Scientologist: "20: Try to treat others as you would want them to treat you." This is one of the 21 moral precepts that form the moral code explained in L. Ron Hubbard's booklet "The Way to Happiness."

Or Jainism, which states:

"Therefore, neither does he [a sage] cause violence to others nor does he make others do so." Acarangasutra 5.101-2.

"In happiness and suffering, in joy and grief, we should regard all creatures as we regard our own self." Lord Mahavira, 24th Tirthankara

and:

"A man should wander about treating all creatures as he himself would be treated. "Sutrakritanga 1.11.33

I never thought I would resonate with Sikhism until I read this: "Compassion-mercy and religion are the support of the entire world". Japji Sahib

The Shinto beliefs encompass: "The heart of the person before you is a mirror. See there your own form"

"Be charitable to all beings, love is the representative of God." Ko-ji-ki Hachiman Kasuga

Sufism states: "The basis of Sufism is consideration of the hearts and feelings of others.

If you haven't the will to gladden someone's heart, then at least beware lest you hurt someone's heart, for on our path, no sin exists but this." Dr. Javad Nurbakhsh, Master of the Nimatullahi Sufi Order.

...and/or I might follow Native American Spirituality, whose love for nature and others are apparent in these words: "Respect for all life is the foundation." The Great Law of Peace.

lol i get whast youre sayin there tad rambly but lol i read that an yea agreed on much near all actually my only tad of an issue is the duality i mean i know its part of the "human" existance just right now as me i see no need fer it it affects those around me yea but i choose where i am an ill continue ta remain here if thats an option if i can progress with my gifts awesome i think you know what i mean there

as fer linking on here i think they can use what we know just are there to help progress us lol
