In the early 1990's, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Although Crohn's Disease can affect any part of the digestive system, it usually affects mostly the intestines. It is also an autoimmune disease. Think of it as the opposite to AIDS. Crohn's affects the immune system in a way that the immune system fights off not only the things that it is supposed to, but anything, including things it is not supposed to.

One thing on the positive side is that I don't catch much for colds, influenza, or any other disease that goes around, especially in the workplace that is in close quarters. Very Happy

I have to be careful to eat on time (once every 2 to 3 hours to make sure my intestines always have something to work on), and eat the right things (not things that affect the disease). I do Reiki on myself every day. I have not had a problem with my disease for many years now. I take Univera products (as well as sell them), namely Ageless Xtra, a product that originates in Korea and has a base of Aloe Vera. It coats my intestines with soothing liquid. I have it in both intestines.

Crohn's Disease is basically and inflammation of the intestines. It can be irritated by certain foods, however, the foods that affect it can differ from person to person. I am convinced that it is most likely hereditary in some way.

My father had Cancer of the Colon, and my sister has Colitis. My grandfather on my dad's side also had Cancer of the Colon. I am glad my sister and i had ours caught in the early stages, before it turned into Cancer.

As far as detection is concerned, a Colonoscopy is recommended. Reiki does wonders for it, as it helps our bodies to heal themselves the way they are supposed to. Before I became a Reiki Master I had gone through years of painful bouts and inundations of Asacol, medication that for the most part helped the symptoms of the disease, but caused migraine headaches where I could not stand someone whispering in another room, and had to have tin foil on the windows and be in complete darkness.

They had me on the highest doses ever recommended of Asacol, 9 per day. Since doing Reiki treatments on myself, I now take zero Asacol, and have not for about 8 years.
